It can be useful to track your Purchase Orders for supplies like glue kits and brackets without tracking each kit or bracket individually. You can set up those Products so they will not be tracked in inventory but can still be added to a PO. You'll still be able to search your PO history if you want to know when you last ordered items or how much you pay different vendors.
Here's how to set up a Product without tracking.
- Go to Settings > Inventory > Products.
- Click on +Create.
- Name the item and select the appropriate entry for the Product Line.
- Change the Unit of Measure to Each
- Uncheck Track Inventory, Track Serial Numbers will uncheck automatically too.
- Click Save.
