EE: Add Estimated Material & Activity Costs

The Quote Analysis section on the Quote Detail page provides an estimate of the Material and Activity Cost for a Quote.

The estimated Material Cost is based on the relationship defined between a Sell Product and a Purchase Product. The estimated Activity Cost is based on an hourly rate provided for the Job Activity Types.

Before adding Estimated Material or Activity Costs to an Quote, Purchase Products and Hourly Rates for Job Activities must be set, Activity Costs for Sell Products defined, and Sell Products linked to Purchase Products.

SET PURCHASE PRODUCTS

  1. Verify that a cost is entered on the Edit Costs page for the Products used in Quotes.

JOB ACTIVITY HOURLY RATES

  1. Go to Settings > Job > Activity Types > click on an Activity to edit.
  2. Enter an estimated Hourly Cost.set hourly costs for job activities

DEFINE ACTIVITY COSTS FOR SELL PRODUCTS

  1. Go to Settings > Quote > Products > click on the name of a Product to edit.
  2. Scroll down to Estimated Activity and click the Add icon.Define activity costs for a product

LINK SELL PRODUCTS TO PURCHASE PRODUCTS

  1. Go to Settings > Quote > Products > click on the name of a Product to edit.
  2. Scroll down to Estimated Material and click the Add icon.
  3. Select the corresponding Product and enter the numbers to complete the equation such as 1 Sq. ft. Cambria= 1.2 Cambria Sq. ft. or 46 Sq. ft. = 1 Cambria (Slab).Add estimated materials to link sell products to purchase products
