Manage User Permissions To Edit Integrated Scanner Data In Legacy Inventory

Do you need to adjust Permissions for an Inventory User to edit data from an integrated slab scanner? You will need Administrator Permissions to edit Roles.

If you create a new Role, be sure to update the User. If making edits to an existing Role, changes will apply automatically. The "Scanner Integrations" option will only appear if a slab scanner has been connected via an API User and API Key.

Anyone with Inventory permissions can see the scanned slab data & images. Only Users with the Scanner Integration permission can edit or delete the imported scanner data.

Update: allows Users to manually link scanned Slab images with Slabs currently in your database, or remove Slabs that have been linked incorrectly.

Delete: allows Users to delete scanned Slab images from the integrated scanner. 

Read: creates "view-only" Users when this is the only permission selected. They see the list of scanned Slabs and are not able to make edits. 


  1. Go to Systemize > Settings > Users & Roles > Roles > click on the Role to edit or create a new one.

  2. Scroll down to the Inventory section > select or deselect Scanner Integration options.add user permissions to edit data from an integrated scanner
