Video: Map Start Locations
TRANSCRIPT:
Welcome to Map Start Locations. Wondering what the options are for the start location when mapping Activity routes in the Calendar? There are three options to use as a start location. An Assignee address, the Shop Default Start Location, or a one-time Custom Address are all available to use as the start of the Activity routes.
Which one does Systemize use? Mapped routes will use an Assignee address first if one has been entered. If multiple Assignees are being mapped, each Assignee's route will begin from the saved Assignee address.
If no Assignee addresses have been entered, routes will be mapped automatically from the Shop Default Start Location, if that location has been set.
If no Shop Default Start Location has been set, Systemize will map without a start location unless a Custom Address is entered.
Entering a one-time Custom Address will ignore both saved Asignee addresses and the Shop Default Start Location, and map all routes from the one-time address entered.
Let's take a look at where to set each location.
If some Assignees always begin their routes from their home, or locations other than your shop, an individual start address can be set for each Assignee.
Go to Settings, Job, Assignees. Click in the Map Start Location column for any Assignee, to add their default start address. Click again on an entered address to edit or delete.
If routes usually start from your shop, enter a Shop Default Start Location. Once saved, you won't have to enter it each time you map routes.
Go to Settings, Calendar, Map. Click the Add icon and enter a new address.
After you Save, you'll be prompted to confirm the address. If you need to make changes after a Shop Default Start Location has been saved, come back to this page. Click the Edit icon to make changes or to remove.
There may be times when a route needs to be mapped from a location other than your shop or a usual Assignee start location. Use a one-time Custom Address. Custom Addresses will ignore saved Assignee and Shop Default Start Locations and are only used for the route you are mapping.
Custom Addresses are not saved.
From any Calendar View, click the Map button.
Select Enter Custom Address, enter the address, then Confirm the location.
